  The curriculum includes interdisciplinary issues - socio-demographic and clinical - which are conducted at Inpatient Geriatric Clinic, Social Care Home and Geriatric Outpatient Clinic.
• Subject: Social and Geriatric Nursing - year 3 (semester 5 and 6) Faculty of Nursing Medical Academy in Białystok - extra-mural studies; 50 hours (20 hours - lectures, 30 hours - seminars)
  The curriculum includes: social and clinical issues of geriatric nursing. Classes are conducted at the Department of Geriatrics.
• Subject: Geriatrics and Geriatric Nursing - year 3 (semester 5 and 6) BA - Nursing; 75 hours (25 hours - lectures, 50 hours - seminars)

In the years 2000-2003 the following research projects were completed in the Department:

• "Satysfakcja życiowa osób starszych w świetle badań jakościowych" [Life satisfaction of the elderly in the light of qualitative studies]- KBN (1H02E00816) - 1999-2001.
